I have been working on this collage painting today. It started with hand painted and stamped papers. The background behind the bird seems to require some text, but I'm not sure what to write yet.
I wanted the girl's hair to resemble a bird nest. My studio assistant, Tristan, is not so sure about it. So I'm going to sleep on the idea. Time to step back from it while. Tomorrow is another chance to work with a fresh eye.
First congratulations that a desire, dream, goal, has come to be. I could feel your thrill when I read the post. Wonderful, no other word.
I like your two new paintings, the striking amaryllis with that face makes me wonder how did you think of that and make it work so well. You know I love faces and these new ones are teriffic. I wonder sometimes when people come to my house if they wonder why I have paintings around of people no oneknows and not so many of family. I do have family out and special photos not too many people see. Or albums that I take out to look at, I have never hung a lot of family photos on the wall.
I like a couple by the phone, and some in the bedroom, I enjoy the ones by the phone most.
How did I get on this? I really should blog in the evening when I am more tired and have less to say.
I enjoyed this post very much, the work has changed, as our work does from time to time, lovely work. thank you for all the getting better wishes, I am better, we are in a horrible icy part of winter, melted snow refreeze so selection of where to walk is important.
Wishing you a valentine.

Love the hair! And her skin and shape of her head remind me of an egg. And she is smiling like the little bird just laid out some joy.
