May 1st is the date of the big reveal of The Disintegration Project hosted by Seth of The Altered Page. Since I am having some very serious computer problems and might not be able to post tomorrow, I am revealing a day early.
This bundle has aged nicely since the first picture of it posted here on February 19. The bundle, made of junk mail papers, has taken on a wonderful, crinkly texture. The fact that our next door neighbor's water sprinkler hits it every day has helped that along. I like the back side of the bundle just as much as the front.
The extra little bundle of leftover paper strips I hung from the tree branch has attracted the attention of a scouting wasp. If it is left hanging any longer there will probably be a wasp nest in it for the next reveal.
Seth has scheduled a second part to the project. Those who want to participate will each make a piece of art using their disintegrated bundle. Visit Seth's blog to find out more and to view the other bundles in the big reveal.
Lovely - all the mouldy papers look wonderful.

I was surprised to hear someone else found stinging insects in their bundles. It was quite a surprise to me.
