Bugs in My Stocking

Dec_31_2007_001_edited1 I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas; I certainly did.  What was your favorite gift?  One of my favorites this year was a stocking gift my daughter sent.  Each year we send one another little vintage treasures gathered throughout the year.  These always go in our stockings to open first thing Christmas morning.  This became a tradition many years ago as my girls were growing up.

This year Melanie sent me THESE vintage pins.  Aren't these little bugs just the cutest?  And that peacock pin...ooh, and that little blue bird with her tiny nest and blue eggs.  What a treasure.  Now, I'm trying to think of something really cool to do with them (other than pin them on a jacket.)  Got any ideas?

Dec_31_2007_003_edited1 She also sent these cute items.  I remember using bobby pins like these to try to tame flyaway wisps of hair that escaped my ponytail when I was a girl.

Ah, it doesn't take much to make me happy.

The next post will be my 100th.  Please come back because I am going to offer a surprise!
